I made it through the weekend. No sickyness at all. I missed out on a good WP race I hear, but when one of your two closest friends are getting married, the bikes have to sit. I made it through the toast and had a great time. It's fun to get dressed up and hang out in beautiful places.
The plan is still the 68. I'm pretty excited. Cal and I will drive up together and then I will watch him ride away at a great rate of speed, he will wait for a long time at the finish, and then we will drive back. It's really cool that they have aid stations every 10 miles, so all I need is one bottle and 3 jersey pockets. Beyond that, I'm just going to pedal, enjoy the scenery and have fun. I love racing without any pressure or expectations. If I was doing the Nationals I'd be tied up in knots right now trying to get my peak to form just right...with this plan, I don't care.
It may not be smart, but I'm going to try and hammer out 40 miles of climbing tonight. I'm still on the ride for fun plan here, and I feel like climbing....
Is anyone else lacking sleep courtesy of the Tour?

The Tour is kicking my ass. I needed this rest day. I won't get 6 hrs of sleep for two more weeks. Over dinner my 8 year old asked me what place Levi was in. Sweet.
